Do plain white walls make you feel down?
I know that feeling all too well.
There was a time in my life when I had a beautifully decorated home with exquisite furnishings, well-organized and clutter-free, but guess what?
It didn't spark joy; it didn't have a soul.
The problem was that, overwhelmed and confused by the hundreds and thousands of colors available on the market, I was paralyzed and too scared to make a costly mistake. So, I decided to play it safe, and when you don't know how to put a color palette together, you end up stuck in the rut of 'it goes with everything.'
As a result, I ended up with an all-neutral home. It was bland and boring. The white walls made me cringe. Add to that the prolonged winter months—it was white outside the house and white inside the house. The all-white walls felt chilling and bare, stark, and therefore hard on the eyes. A home that was supposed to be my sanctuary ended up making me feel emotionally drained and physically unwell.
At 25, I was struggling. Anxiety, stress, and even physical illness had become part of my daily life.
It was then that I stumbled upon a simple and life-changing fact: 'Environment Impacts Behavior.'
I went from antidepressants, mentally and emotionally stressed and anxious, and physically feeling sick at age 25 to living my best life at 37!!
The challenge is that in the pursuit of a healthy and conscious life, many tend to emphasize nutrition, exercise, meditation, therapy, and other forms of self-care. While these aspects are undoubtedly crucial, an often overlooked piece of the puzzle is the impact of your environment—an area that too often goes unnoticed.

So how did I craft a sanctuary of serenity and rejuvenation in my own home?
